Alert! your configuration file is writable by the web server
Your configuration file is writable by the web server:
There is a chance that someone might modify your configuration file and be able
to send SPAM using your account. For your protection, the script will not
operate unless you fix this problem.
How to fix this problem:
Simply change the permissions of the file named app.conf in the directory where
you installed this script to "read only" for "owner", "group" and "world". If
you prefer using numbers to change the permissions then you can set them to
"444".
In plain English:
Start your favorite FTP program.
Browse to the directory where you place this script.
Look for the file name 'app.conf'.
Depending on your FTP software, click the button that allows you modify the permissions. This option is normally accessed by right clicking the file.
At this stage, and depending on the FTP software you are using, you should be presented with a small field where you can enter numbers or a menu with a list of check boxes . Some FTP programs will display both!
If
you see a small text field:
Just type "444" in the box (without the quotes) and click OK
If you get a graphical menu with check boxes:
Read the menu carefully and then check then uncheck all the boxes except those that grant "read" permissions to all of "owner" "group" and "world".
If you still have problems:
Just ask your hosting company's support to have a look at this page. All they
need to know is already explained above and they should be able to help you
promptly!
